CUSD printed specific documents regarding all High School Requirements and the Music Student. This is posted below. It lists all the requirements and options available to the students. Sports can be added to the list below, but it takes some work. Please contact the band/orchestra teacher at your high school to help you work out your schedules. They are the ones that know all the secrets. We hope this is of help to everyone!
FYI - There is a new 4-Year College requirement that students must take at least 1 year (and it's being changed to 2-years sometime soon) of an advanced (not-beginning) level Visual or Performing Art. So far, band, orchestra, choir, adv. drama and adv. art are the only classes accepted. Please note that if a student remains in their music class through 8th grade, they will most likely be able to start in that advanced class. This allows them to finish that requirement in 1 year. Students who have to start over in the beginning level in high school may have to take 2 or more years to complete the advanced level requirement.
